Sarah Maldoror. Cinema tricontinental
Fugint d’una mirada estereotipada envers l’Àfrica (“No m’interessa mostrar la pobresa –escriu- m'estimo més intentar trobar la poesia”), Maldoror s’endinsa en la lluita per l'alliberament d’Angola i la filma a través de la perspectiva d'una dona i mare. Amb el fill en braços, Maria recorre Luanda de presó en presó buscant el seu marit detingut per oficials portuguesos.
Restored by Cineteca di Bologna and The Film Foundation’s World Cinema Project at L’Image Retrouvée (Paris) from the 35mm original negatives, in association with Éditions René Chateau and the family of Sarah Maldoror.
