The film distributor Pere Tresserra established an important collection of international films comprising more than 750 titles which, thanks to his determination to preserve the original supports, have been conserved in the typical media and formats used at that time. The collection features a wide variety of genres, from documentaries, newsreels and reportage through to fiction films of all kinds, spanning an extensive timeline from the early to mid-twentieth century. It is worth highlighting the large number of American comedies, known as slapstick, which are very rarely found in other film archives in their original formats and colours.
